:P :?
Excited and afraid of losing my craving for the good stuff?

What about losing interest in things I like to do during the long (half life - don't know why they use this term in pharma). I am planning on taking it for three or four months every day because I have not a an AF day in five years. Could SOMEONE pu-lease answer my question - don I need to stop all endorphin releasing activity for initial 4 months treatment?

[color=#FF0040]Please please please would someone try to answer my question?

Debbie, Im probably not the most appropiate person to answer you as Ive only just returned to following tsm orders as they should be followed but as far as up regulation and losing interest in other activities, exercise, sex food etc, I can honestly say I never noticed a difference. Of course if you're going joging or exercising one shouldnt take a nal directly beforehand. However I have taken nal before a meal when planing to drink and it never diminished my enjoyment in the food- if it did I might not be a stone overweight

Debbie,
I am only into Nal about 3 and 1/2 mo. I drink daily and take my pill 1 hr. before starting. I exercise lifting weights and a little cardio 3-4 times a week. I have not noticed any difference in how I feel when I eat, exercise or do other fun stuff. I wouldn't worry too much about that stuff now. Just jump in and see how it affects you. I have at times cut back to 25mg. in the early going (first 1-2 mo.) because of a nausea issue I had but it has gone away and I am back to the 50mg. Hang in there and as they say "don't sweat the small stuff". Getting our drinking under control is much more important. I was daily drinker for over 40 years with about 50 units per week. I still drink daily and am hoping for some AF days but I am down to about average of 30 units a week and biggest accomplishment is that I can stop now after the three. Never could do that before.

Hang tough
Linda

Thank you so much for your replies. I had a 25 mg dose last night the first time. Feeling was very similar to an experience I had when I had to have prednisone for a week after an accident. I felt really wired. I think you're both right I need to just focus on this for right now and the other things later. I think one of the most important things about TSM is feeling empowered As opposed to Bill's method of making you feel powerless. That in itself I think is self-fulfilling. Shame crap is really wrong. Yippee I'm so happy there are people out there that I can connect with!

I can confirm so long as you are motivated other activities are fine. Alcohol and the accompanying side effects of drinking it stopped me from taking part and enjoying things I like from life. Nal is nothing compared to that.
