It seems like I read something about this topic before, but I can't seem to find it. Anyway:
I have had ringing in my ears for quite a while, but it seems like it has gotten a lot worse since I started taking Naltrexone. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so what did you do about it? It seems like I've heard of some things (ginko? lippoflavinoid?)

I have found that ringing in my hears, be it there or not was a form of extreme anxiety for me!

From what I have read about Naltrexone side effects, ringing-in-the-ears or "tinnitus" is not a major side effect, yet it is listed as a possible side effect.

I have mild tinnitus as it is, probably from my exposure to noise at work for 30+ years. And, yes, I do notice on occasion my tinnitus becomes more pronounced and noticeable about 30 minutes after taking Naltrexone, but before drinking. Apparently, it disappears during my drinking regimen. It's hard to notice when something like ringing in our ears lessens, unless we are really concentrating on it.

Do you get tinnitus every time you take Nal, or occasionally as I do? Is it single high pitch tone? Multiple tones? A cacophony of bells? or a roar?

I hear about two, maybe three high pitch tones mainly in my left ear.

Bob

I have tinnitus and nal definitely turned up the volume. I have used ginkgo 480 mg (a lot!) in the past and it works just as well on nal. Any less has not been shown effective in clinical trials. It's supposed to take a few days to work but I got immediate relief. The experience of silence was sort of startling.

Hey! I had the tinnitus from Nal as well when I started way back and someone on MWO told me what vitamins to take more of and it got rid of it. Then it went away for a long time and it just came back recently. Darned if I can't remember what vitamins they told me to take! I think it was Ginseng. Now I need to take it again. Anyway if anyone knows anything more about it let us know. Thanks :D
