Out of Naltrexone... White-knuckling for the next 10-12 days until more arrives. Not bad right now - I hope it goes okay because I haven't gone that long without drinking /something/ in years.

If you're ordering Ntx from the internet, be sure to plan ahead!

N101CS You could try what I propose it really surprised me ( I suport no camp and I review some points of the method I indicate )
So go to Rational Recovery.org and see their free crash course on the free part of the site it is a description of a potent technique to kill the desire to drinkin two hundred words . ( well why not ?).
I hope it helps .

Ouch.

I'm sure there are plenty of people here who will be glad to help you through RV...if you feel comfortable PMing a PO box or mailbox...I can certainly donate a week's worth of mine.

If not - keep posting when the urge starts to hit - good luck!

The support on this board is really touching sometimes. I would also volunteer some of mine if you need it. And this reminds me: I have a whole bunch of Topamax I'm never going to use. If it could help someone I would be happy to get it to them. PM me if interested.

N101CS,

I have a ton of extra Nal and would be happy to send you some. I initially ordered a couple months worth from River, then went to my Dr before the River shipment arrived and now have a regular prescription.

Just PM me and I'd be happy to forward some Nal on.

It was great to see those offers for N101CS . So long as we're in process we're damn glad to have the NAL at hand and it's scary if it isn't .
This thread did make me look ahead and see that when six months comes I'll take a shot at abstinence to see what it's like . And what will it be like ? I see myself carrying the NAL any way but once again relying on my bunch of tricks to keep going if need be . When I try to imagine It's like four days seems a solid start and there's the two columns of sat and sun before me , and if I keep on I'll be at a week and a half and how small that seems to two weeks and on and on in relativity . the further you go the better you feel were it not for the craving enemy lurking about .
My God what if it becomes small fry ? I reckon I'll still feel uneasy like a kind of anxiety too many years has left behind , hopefully that too will fade but I have a feeling there'll still be somethiing to contend with and putting words to it is tricky but
"relapse anxiety" sums it up . The only way to deal with relapse anxiety is strengthening inner resolve , knowing that abstinence is what I actually want .
if the alternative was drinking occaisionally and it was manageable then great but
never going further than a few days without a drink doesn't look too liberating .
I guess I'm not the only one to think this ?

I don't know, elfern. It's fine that you're shooting for abstinence, but why create such anxiety over whether or not you abstain, or moderate to healthy levels of drinking? Right now you're doing the best thing you can do for yourself with TSM. Give yourself a pat on the back, and don't worry about tomorrow. . .till tomorrow!

BTW: I'm having my second AF day since starting - and not even feeling a twinge. Same for my darlin' SO.
