Like Q said, it's all unproven and only a tenuous hint at this point. Could be wrong. But worth looking carefully at. Ever since starting TSM in October 2009, I never drunk without NAL. Not even a single time. And yet, after having a good plateau (14-21 u/week) on Naltima for at least 80 weeks, I started steadily sliding back on Nodict (23 weeks now and back to 40-50 u/week by now). Unfortunately, I still have tons of Nodict and could not find a place to buy Naltima for less than $8/pill without prescription. Nor I have any idea how I could find a doctor who could prescribe naltrexone to me without that fact ever entering my records.
Yep, your experience is very close to mine. The only difference is that I did drink on Nal maybe 6-7 times during that vacation w/o Nal, but I doubt that would have gotten me re-addicted. I think it was the use of Nodict over a period of time that ultimately resulted in me returned to my pre-TSM levels.
I honestly think it is the coating on the Nodict that is causing the problem. I've done some reading online about coatings and medications and this is typically done to provide a delayed release or long lasting release of a medication. All other forms of Nal I've taken, including the Nal I used while on a Dr prescription here in the US, are uncoated. I think what is going on is that the uncoated Nal provides the 50mg dose instantly (or very quickly) where as the coated Nodict provides the Nal dose over a period of several hours.
Think about it, TSM requires that our bodies receive the 50mg of NAL very quickly so that our adrenal system is locked down within an hour of taking the tablet. Who knows what is going on with a delayed release form of NAL, but I think the experiences of several who have now come forward tell us that Nodict isn't delivering NAL to our bodies fast enough to shut down our adrenal system within the hour we are supposed to wait before we drink. This is why we are getting re-addicted.
If you are going to use Nodict, I would chew it. It is going to taste aweful, but chewing would insure that you get your 50mg dose quickly and not in a time release fashion. In terms of buying Naltima, you can get it at All Day Chemist for $1.60 per tablet plus shipping:

Let's keep the comments rolling on this and see if we can shed some light on the Nodict issue!
