Pretty much tapered off again.....

drank my 3oz warm beer about 3-4 am, then another 3oz at 7:30 before work. I had to work a little late and was vibrating just a little around 6pm and had about a teaspoon of vodka.

I'm a little wound up at the moment but I'm going to watch some TV and see how it goes. Down to the last part of a pint from yesterday, and might need it in the night if I wake up or the morning but by then I'll be back on the train to soberville....

All in all this last little thing was no biggie, but as Joe said I'm having more and more of an issue with the detox effects lingering when I didn't really even fall hard. So lame, not even really worth it. I feel the time is definitely right to retrain the brain.

Will ponder calling this "local TSM doc" and whether or not to get a legit Rx or just order online.

Gotta wait a day or two, the only place in this one horse town to get a cash credit card is at WalMart, and I'm not going in there until thanksgiving and black friday are over.

Not planning to drink again till the end of the year either, but could be that with the holidays I had just better be prepared is what I'm thinking.

Yeah, can't hurt to have it on hand. Best to try it at home first when you have the next day off, just in case.

Thanks for keeping us up on how you're doing!

Obviously, sobering up gets easier then you are both experienced at it, and it becomes obvious to you that it's necessary.

Back in the days where booze pretty much didn't do anything but make me feel awesome, believing that it was time to slow down or quit just doesn't happen for most people.

The choice becomes easier.

I sure would like extinction to remove the monkey from my back though, it's tough (and a little scary) to imagine a life where I don't have to think about it or dream about it all the time, or have to sneak around sipping it at work so that I don't get dopesick in front of my work colleagues.

Thanks for the support.

That's basically how it's been for me, I hardly think of the stuff anymore. Last night, after some tough physical work with no time for breakfast or lunch, I actually really wanted a beer. That's the first time I really craved one in months. Took the Nal and made it through two of them, otherwise, the six pack in my fridge had mainly been gathering dust since July.
