The purpose of aversion therapy is to mainly drink your DOC, then follow that by another alcoholic drink of a different type that you enjoy. American beer was my DOC. Then I chose the beverages that I liked the most first starting with Bourbon and worked my way to wine, which I really didn't care for. I skipped a couple beverages such as tequila and rum. I liked tequila less than I liked wine and still haven't had any desire to taste it. I used to drink rum decades ago, but I have no idea why I didn't try it post aversion therapy. Probably the strong alcohol smell. The Guinness stout found a niche that didn't invoke a nausea response, so I stuck with that until I was back as a daily over-drinker again by February 2009. Bob
