Are you paying out of pocket for the Naltrexone or is it covered by insurance?

Naltrexone is covered by my insurance....all good there....I'm tapering right now....been on a remarkable bender....have 5 drinks today....4 nips and 1 16 OZ beer.

I'd tapered down to about 3 pints a night before the Alcohol Deprivation Effect kicked in and I found myself knocking back a couple of six packs of pints every night. Once I got my appointment for the TSM doc, I started working on it again and got it down to the 7-8 pint range by the time I got my prescription. Fortunately, with Nal on board I didn't get the backlash again and each month saw more progress.

I wish you the best of luck. Expect to feel a little strange for the first couple of weeks but things should even out as you go along.

Went from drinking 6 days per week; 10-13 nips, 50 ML each. 1st week taking Naltrexone: have drank 4 times, have averaged 2.2 drinks per session. Had one heavy day but the other three days; 1/2 a beer; 3/4 of one beer; and last night - 3 nips and one beer...
