I used TSM to quit back in 2012. Lately,I started to sip a glass of wine or a beer when in difficult social situations to decline. Should have kept my Nal handy.
I see myself sliding back. Still have not returned to my old drinking habits so I think I can nip this in the bud. Went to my family doctor and he freaked out. Ready to have me committed. The doc that helped years ago in in LA and I would need to fly back there. Are there any TSM friendly docks that would prescribe over long distance?

Thanks for coming back and reminding us that we need to keep that little pill on us at all times. The C-3 foundation has a keychain with a pill carrier on it that can be ordered http://www.cthreefoundation.org/key-cha ... hu7nNaGdUQ for $5 u.s. and it is a donation.

I would look at the list of doctors here and at the C-3 foundation to see if you can find a doctor close to you if the cost is too high to order it on line.

Or I would go to a different doctor and ask for the nal. for alcohol cravings and not even mention TSM.

I am excited that you are here and are willing to share you experiences.

NAL can be phoned in over a distance from other states, if you can talk your doctor in LA into doing that.

It is not a controlled substance.

That is an interesting point, and I think most doctors wants to physically see you to give you a script; however, there is a Dr. Maxwell here in Ohio that only does Web-view and Web-chats. He is an alternative doctor for thyroid issues, hormonal issue and such, but I wonder if he would be open to TSM. But, I do not think he accepts insurance, which is another cost.

I do not know why I am surprised that doctors are so resistant to write a script for nal, but ask for pain meds or sleep meds and it is no issue...go figure

Welcome back, Todd! Thanks for the reminder that we ALWAYS have to take Nal before drinking. I'm still in the "getting used to taking a pill" phase, so I've set an alarm for myself at 4:00 pm every day. It's those "off" times that get ya.... I went to lunch today and almost ordered a glass of wine before I remembered it was only noon and I hadn't taken my Nal. I decided on water.... but I could quite easily have completely forgotten because this is all still pretty new to me!

Anyway, good luck jumping back on the wagon. Keep posting... it's so helpful for us all to read some success stories AND some cautionary tales!

Oh yeah.... and I get my Nal through River Pharmacy online. I don't want ANY trace of this in my medical file...

This sold me. It's on it's way.
