Hi. I'm Kerri and I am really happy to be here. I'm from Australia and I've just finished my first week of TSM. I've started a weekly progress thread called TSM & Me where I am going to record my ups and downs with TSM and Nal. My progressive Australian doctor is keen to see how I fare - she can see many possibilities for TSM amongst her clients. I live in a high-alcohol use area with much entrenched drinking in our widespread rural community. TSM could be a fantastic tool for those like me who want to change but don't have the ??? to moderate on their own or abstain as per AA.

Reading the weekly progress threads and forum questions is really helpful for me. I hope I can contribute in a way that helps others also.

Best of luck everyone.

Kerri

I just ordered my 1st pack. My doc wouldn't prescribe them for me. I told him he could be a groundbreaking alki saviour. I'm glad your guy is more helpful. I will be updating my doc with my (projected) progress. Maybe he'll change his mind? Good luck to you, it is pretty exciting stuff.

missfred, will you tell your doctor when you're cured? He may be more willing to help others in the future.

Welcome missfred. Yes, I was very lucky with my doctor. I think that it helped that she knew I had been trying to manage my drinking already and that I was smart enough to do my own research. But really, I have to give her a lot of credit for just taking the idea on board.

Yep, definately keep a record of your progress for your doctor. Who knows, in a few years time this may be a more accepted treatment and us forerunners will be able to think - yay! I helped that happen!

Kerri, I'm really happy about your doctor. After you succeed, you could be the indirect bringer of help to so, so many people. All it takes is one big desire and one little pill -- but we have to learn about the pill.

I will be watching your progress with great interest.
