Hello Everyone,
I have been on Nal for 4 days now, and am having a lot of trouble dealing with the side effects. My doctor did warn me that I would likely feel "out of it" for a few days, but I guess I just wasn't prepared. In General, I have no appetite (because of the nausea), feel like I'm in some fog, even some flu-like symptoms. I have read on here that this is common, but I'm barely able to function because I feel like such s**t. So any words of encouragement? BTW, I started on 10/17and today is the 21st (which I'm planning on making and AF day)

My bf was the exact same way. He had to dose down and work his way up to 50mg while taking phenegran with it. He won't take a nal without a phenegran. Ask you dr for Rx for phenegran. It will do the trick. No OTC nausea meds worked. Good luck!

I'm sorry you are having a rough time. Did you start with full 50mg dose? Sometimes people start on a lower dose and work up.

Yeah, that will give you trouble. Split your pills into quarters. Take a quarter of a pill for a few days and feel it out. Once the side effects diminish, start taking half a pill, etc. until you work your way up to the full 50 mg. I wouldn't wait til you get a chance to talk to your doctor, he will just tell you the same thing; there is no harm in easing your way into it.
