I was born in europe ,Im living in australia atm (my wife is ozzy),Im suffering from alcoholism for 15 years now..
As many of us i tryed everything was possible ( rehab (1 year), psichiatric ward ( where i came from alcoholism is treated as a mental illness) AA, antabuse, meditation , jogging.
I Always relapsed; having behavioural problem when drunk as well,( increase in aggressivity).
My last years where fuelled up by alcohol against my will, as i found really difficult have a control on it. He was ruling my life.
Done last detox 6 month ago, out from there my doc in australia prescribed me naltrexone as anti craving, so i took it abstinent for 5 month in addition to AA groups as well.
As Sinclair said i didnt had a reduction of cravings; the cravings where Always with me, so i relapsed, but i was taking the pills everyday as prescribed and seemed to me that the alcohol was tasting different...
My last relapse was 15 days long, so shorter than usual..
i found on the net about this method, found this forum, i got the book
And at the moment following The SM as well.
The taste of wine or drinks now appears less enjoiable, and im able to put some AF days during the week ( thats new for me)..
i think this forum is really good, as a pioneristic approach to this new method ( not many doctors here are aware about it, and in IT as well..)
Sorry for the english as is not my language

Hope everyone the best

In active drinking 100 to 140 aus un week, 0 AF

week 1 7 AF
week 2 5 AF , 30 un
week 3 1 AF , 54 un
week 4

Hi Gion and welcome,

I sounds like you're having success with TSM already. I think we're all fortunate to have found this program, or in my case, to have it recommended by my doctor (his wife is ozzy, too!)

There are a lot of encouraging stories here, and there are a lot of ups and downs as well.

Take care, and I'll look forward to reading more about your progress with TSM.

Hi Gion, welcome!

This is a roller-coaster issue but for me anyway TSM has been more encouraging than my 2 last rehabs and everything in-between!

Keep posting and know that there is a support group out here - your English is fine! ;)
