I am new here and I think I started a little backwards, took half of the 50mg Monday night and drank 6 glasses of wine. Last night I took half again and had 5-6 can't remember it hit me so hard and just knocked me out. I ordered the book yesterday and had it overnighted so I will read it before I try another one. What happens if you take the medicine and you don't want to drink? I had my son so upset with me last night I feel terrible. I have tried Herbs and vitamins and nothing seems to work I continue to drink 1-2 bottles of wine a night. Any other advice anyone has I would be thrilled to hear it.

Hi hanginon, I think i;ve seen you on MYO also. Well Im on my second week now of taking Nal and already I;ve seen a difference but as this is known as the honeymoon period I am not getting my hopes up too much. Please do not take Nal if you are not drinking and take it one hour before you do drink. I am the same as you on - two bottles of wine a night. Sorry you are feeling bad about your son, we all know the feeling of this!

i believe that if you take the nal and don't drink, don't worry too much about it. especially at the early stages. it is better to have taken it, then if you drink when you weren't planning too, you will be covered. don't know how old your son is, if he can understand remind him that you are trying everything possible. If this helps, and for most it does, you and him will see a remarkable transformation in both your lives.
If old enough maybe print out some of the relevant material found here.
It will get better.

Sleep aid: there's baclofen, which is another anti-alcohol drug that some people (me included) say helps them sleep.

Hang in there hanginon, things will stabilize. This stuff works but it does take some time to learn how to use it.
