I am in Texas and trying to get a prescription from my doctor for the Naltrxone. Everyone seems to post about the 50 mg. My doctor states it only comes in 2mg or 8mg. I can get a prescription today if I can figure out the right does. I drink 1.5 bottles of wine almost nightly and would like to stop by my daughters wedding in April. Please let me know if you are getting the 50 in the USA.

50mg. Naltrexone may come in formulations of 2mg or 8mg for a therapy called Low Dose Naltrexone (I'm not sure). 50mg is the standard dose for alcoholism in the US and worldwide.

This is so standard, I cannot even begin to imagine where your doctor is getting this information. They could look anywhere: their PDR, any internet source, call any colleague, the FDA. Literally anywhere.
