Wow, lost my whole post, it just disappeared. Joe, what you say makes sense. I do follow a pattern of drinking. I think about it at 7. If a friend calls I drink. I also don't call anyone unless I have a drink in my hand. I don't get drunk talking to them, I gather that to is a habit.
Riverside is so much more expensive then AlldayChemist. 166 vs 124 for 60 pills.
Jaba, I have an appointment on Friday. I will talk to him, but doubt that he will readjust the amount. No harm in asking. I don't think he is a real advocate of this as a choice and really think he will stop giving me the script. I have to call every month to have him order it for me.

That's from the "Upward Spiral" book that I mentioned, Meggie.

Arrgh! I don't understand why your doc is being such a ballzitch about this. Does he think it's a narcotic or something?

Maybe print out this Psychology Today article for him:

https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/ov ... naltrexone

There's a TSM doc in Highland, if that helps. There's also a fellow in Albany, maybe they know of someone closer if that's still too far away. Perhaps Dr. Stuart Kloda might know someone too, he's in NYC.

Jaba, thank you for the advice regarding the credit card. I would just use my own card and would not have noticed anything. All day sells the Naltima. I will see what the doctor says on Friday. Also, I need to get alcoholic off my record. I can see it on my patient portal.
If worse comes to worse Joe, I might call one of TSM doctors.

I was very nervous about this appointment. I am just waiting for him to tell me NO. He is letting me get 45 pills instead of 30 so that I can go up a little at a time. I hope this works. I am on an antidepressant and he checked to see if would interact with the Nal. He upped my medication for both. I will have to see how things go. I need energy to get to the gym and keep working. Thank you all for your support.

I have been honest with my doctors for several years. I have been working with his nurse practitioner and she refused to give me the medication so I went to him. She never put anything in my records, he put alcoholic on my records I asked him on Friday if he could take that off. It will be interesting to see if he took it off.
He did tell me I was his experiment, because he has no one on this medication for drinking. He also makes me call in to get the medication. Oh, well, we will see what happens with the anti and the Nal.
Have a 2 hour delay today, I am always so tired in the morning so it is so nice to sleep in and enjoy the morning.

Meggie - I am so pleased to hear that your doc is on board now with you! That surely is great news!

Hugs, Maggie xx
