I've been meaning to getting around to creating a weekly tracking thread. Maybe soon.

Anyway, I tracked 8 weeks without Nal, and am on week #6 of Nal, doing 25mg doses. After 8 weeks, I will up that to a full 50mg dose. That will give me three stretches of 8 weeks each to compare.

I truly feel like it's working. Without even trying the "off switch" I've long desired is often there. Today, for instance, I sat out back and had four beers. After the fourth, I felt like I was done and stopped. I had had enough. That NEVER happens. Normally I just keep going until I'm slurring.

I still get drunk, of course, but my current peak consumption is equal to my former low to mid consumption. In my first 8 weeks of tracking, no Nal, I was averaging a case of beer per weekend (24 beers). That has been cut back to 18 beers per weekend. Still too much, but it's an improvement, and that's with just a 25mg dose. We'll see what 50 does.

One of my great tests was this weekend, week #8. It was an annual gathering of a bunch of friends during which a LOT of booze is traditionally consumed. We're usually putting down beers until the wee hours of the morning.

I went. I drank. I maintained control the whole time. I drank at a modest pace, drank a modest amount, and never went over the top. When I decided it was time to slow down, I slowed down. When I decided it was time to stop, I stopped.

I'm in week #8 and still only taking 25mg doses, but I'm convinced. This is the real deal.

Your units look good Coopersale. My first time out mu units dropped from about 70UK to under 40UK. Once you into that healthy zone I find it a lot less to worry about.
