I'm new to the boards and I'm going to try Naltrexone for an Internet pornography addiction. I've tried many water-only fasts, including 10 or so of forty days. Water-only fasts seem to mess with the brain's pleasure center. Hunger and other addiction cravings seem to disappear after 3 days. Unfortunately, the cravings for porn start to come back soon after I start eating again. I've also been active in a twelve-step sexual addiction fellowship for about 12 years, but long-term sobriety eludes me. I've had many pray for me and even tried an exorcism! I've found that if I exercise a couple hours a day, and spend about two to four hours in prayer, meditation, and working the steps I'm able to stay away from porn. I've managed to live that lifestyle for a year or so at a time, but it is difficult to maintain with demands of a family and a job.

By now, I've learned that I'm not likely to pray it away. I've heard about Naltrexone and pornography addiction, though I don't see any success stories posted here. I've ordered some Naltrexone from an online pharmacy and I'm going to give TSM a shot. I'll keep you posted.

Hi, Mark. I can't say I know much of anything about this application, but given NALs success with eating disorders it seems entirely plausible you may see some results. As I've been instructing others while this forum is a great resource I think you'll find more activity and support at OSL:

Well wishes.

I know nothing about porn addiction, sounds hard to imagine. I'm guessing since it's an addiction, you struggle to control it, like you're tempted to watch porn at work or on your phone in public or something, even tho you know it's inappropriate (kinda like how an alcoholic is tempted to drink at work or drive after drinking even tho they know they shouldn't, etc). Or maybe just waste hours watching porn at home when you've got better things to do.

But I'm curious and want to get this straight. Are you saying you went forty days straight without food, only water?!@?!@? Ten different times?!? If that's right, wow, that's pretty impressive willpower, but I'd imagine pretty unhealthy, unless maybe you're significantly overweight already, but even then, sounds crazy... how much weight did you loose? So when you don't eat you don't crave porn, but after not eating for forty days, first time you eat, you suddenly get a desire to watch porn? Crazy stuff.

I doubt this pill will do anything for you, but best of luck.
