Hi. Just received my pills today. Want to start Sinclair method right away but worried about taking my first dose while out with friends? What if I have a bad reaction? Is there anything to worry about? Or should I wait to take first dose at home to see how I'm effected? Thank you.

Bad reactions do happen, but they're unusual. I wouldn't sweat it too much either way.

Are you planning to start with the 25mg half-dose as usual? I think that's usually wise.

Thanks for the reply. I took 50 mg 1 hour ago and feel fine other than a little lightheadedness. I just decided to go for it because I was feeling like i would be making another excuse not to start taking care of this problem NOW!!!! Glad I did. Thnx again for the response.

I had a full blown panic attack this morning. Thought I was having a heart attack. I'm scared to take it again. I saw that anxiety is a side effect.

I already had a private chat with you, but in case anyone else is reading -- this is why most of us, DIY and not under a doctor's eye, ease in slowly. 25mg is the usual starter dose, kicking up to 50mg only after a couple of successful times on the starter dose. A few had enough reaction to 25mg that they chose to start at 12.5mg.

It's true that you're not making much progress towards a cure on these smaller doses, but you're minimizing risk. Once you've handled the smaller doses, the "real" dose isn't as foreboding and isn't a shock to your system.

You hang in there. Very few people are so sensitive that they can't take the stuff at all. You probably just need to find a safe starter dose so that you can acclimate.

Of course, if you're really worried, seeking a doctor's advice won't hurt.
