I would strongly recommend that you read Dr. Eskapa's book 'The Cure for Alcoholism.' Not only will it spell out in detail for you the method, dose, and schedule for TSM but it will go into good detail about the science behind it and have references to many other papers and articles that you can follow if you want. Knowledge is power and the more you know about TSM the better it will have an affect on you. Once you start to feel TSM working you will understand why it is working and this will help guide you along the process. Reading the book also may quell any fears that you have in getting started or continuing and it may even make the whole process more exciting. I know it did for me. I probably would not have even started TSM if not for reading the book.
The movie 'One Little Pill' was also helpful.
None the less, I think dosage is different for many people as is the case for all medicines. 50mg's was the dosage used in the study's and was found to be the optimal dose to be sure to cover the opioid blockage response with the minimal side affects for most people. I started on taking 1/4 of a 50mg tab so that's 12.5mg. It worked so well for me that I rarely take more then that and I've not once taken more then 25mg. Others here say that this works for them too but then even more others say they need to increase the dose. I'd say if you are just starting try a quarter tab. You don't have much to loose when just starting. If that doesn't work go up to half.
