Hi all!

I started TSM about 8 weeks ago, deciding to start on 25mg and titrate from there. The side effects were pretty horrible. "spews and poos", extreme drowsiness, with some insomnia (which I sometimes have anyways), agitation and increased anxiety. So after 4-5 days I dropped to 12.5ng, with a notable reduction in SEs. Over a period of 4 weeks I titrated up to 50mg with milder side effects occurring at each increase, and slowly dissipating.

After a bit of a bender last Thursday, I have started getting SEs all over again. Has this been anyone else's experience?

Pre TSM 10-14 US units/day (13-17 Au units)
Now about 9 US units/day.

Were you off the Nal for a while then took it again at 50mg, or had you ramped up to 50mg and still regularly taking it when the SEs came back?

I've never heard of that happening before. A long time to slowly get to a point of no SEs on the full dose, but never just a return.

Could it have been a reaction to the amount of alcohol you had on that bender? Ie, that you had more than you had normally had and gotten super hungover? Unusually bad hangovers (aka "nalovers") have been had by people when they start drinking on it.

I am wondering if this is a nal over?

It was a stressful 4 day road trip and I probably did drink quite a bit more than usual, so nalover makes sense. It has started to ease off now so looking forward to it disappearing.

Thanks for your answers!!

Ez - there are definitely ups and downs with this. I was lucky with my SEs being minimal, but have read that unfortunately from some others on here they can be pretty bad. But they seem to be temporary too. Hope that is the case for you. Newlife
