What is considered to be the cutoff/highest level/reading of liver function test that would eliminate someone from being able to take Naltrexone? I read somewhere that it may be a reading of 2 x normal reading. Is that correct? If someone's LFT is too high should they consider Nalmefene, and if so, is that available in pill or only by injection? Many thanks from a newbie looking to get started. I will be receiving my LFT results next week.

That's a very good question that I pushed over to questions for Dr E , hope you don't mind . .
It seemed you were asking it concerning the risk of NAL on liver , I've read it's not that harmful , at any rate not compared to the alcohol . The question that concerns me is the sturdiness of the liver faced with continued drinking .
