On the topic of me wanting to switch to Vodka instead of wine, this is what I was told on the C Three Forum:

"While we've only heard anecdotal evidence so far, several people have noticed TSM takes longer with vodka. We're not sure why and I'm currently designing a survey-based study to see if we need to invest in researching what, if any, differences there are with different alcohol-based beverages."

Maybe we could do our own survey here.

What is/was your Drink of choice? :? :? :?

Mine is wine!

I love good rum, aged and dark, on the rocks with fresh lime. I also like good Scotch and Canadian whiskey. Don't care much for bourbon. Last time I was in Mexico City I thoroughly enjoyed the tequila list, fine rare stuff you can't get in the states. I could probably live on good tequila, or die trying. Damn, I could say the same for gin I suppose, especially in the summer. I can't handle the hard stuff though, so I only drink it on rare occasions. I lose control too easily. I drink wine socially, with good food.

Day in and day out, I stick to cheap pathetic american light beer. It's thoroughly disgusting (probably a good dis-incentive at this point) and it's always been easier for me to keep an even buzz. I'm currently sticking to Coors light in pints, easier to count. Bottom line I guess is that I like alcohol so long as it isn't denatured. I would like my drink of choice in the future to be water or maybe ginger ale.

Wine, switched to vodka tonics and I have always loved a scratch Margarita. Last week, I thought sipping a Rusty Nail would be pleasurable and it was for a couple of days. Now the thought of one seems distasteful. Today Champagne sounds good. I believe the Nal is curbing my taste for most alcohol and I hope this is the case.

Vodka was too dangerous for me to drink, I could drink too much at once so I banned myself from it.

Towards the end after trying baclofen I had moved onto alcohopops, after a while I went back onto my chosen drink of cider, and also started drinking wine. I had one honey vodka on a night out but don't think I touched spirits again. Did drink the odd glass of champagne and also tried some strong micro-brewery beers at various points along the way.

I do think that stronger drinks make you more likely to drink through Nal, and some wines are extremely strong.
