You mentioned you used naltrexone a while back. Did a doctor start you on it and was it to stop drinking? Did the dr. recommend abstinance. Would you mind sharing a little information about your experience with nal and how you came upon the Sinclair Method?
Of course, ONLY if you don't mind.
We welcome you here and wish you all the very best!

I got Naltrexone via an online pharmacy - never seen a doctor. I started drinking about 3 years ago and I noticed soon that something is 'different' with me.
One of the attempts to stop the habbit to come as big as it is now was getting naltrexone and staying without drinking.
Sadly I failed on that one. Now that I see my habbit is getting out of control (last week i had a day drinking a 3/4 of a whisky bottle in a day!) I was searching for Naltrexone - as I still have it laying around here. On Wikipedia I read the first time about the Sinclair Method. It sounds interessted - mainly for its course of action. I quit smoking also continue smoking ... it appears to me at this point much more logical to let the body understand itself the incorrect pattern it has learned and let it fix it by itself.
When trying Naltrexone a year ago I was feeling very strange - like not beeing able to sleep. A little bit like now, now that I have not drunk for some days. Maybe the bad experience with Naltrexone is not related to itself - but to the withdrawel from alcohol. (The original therapy with Naltrexone suggest to not drink any alcohol).
I hope to get my drinking under control before social and/or work problems start.
Thanks for the welcome!
