Just wondering if anyone has had this experience. Id been having great results my first 10 days on TSM, and i mean excellent results. Then last night i don't know what happened. I took my 50mg naltrexone and I had 8 cans of beer in the house (440ml), i only ended up finishing 7 before i passed out and woke up with the worst hangover ever. From 7 cans of beer? A baaad drink, just like the bad old days - talking so much cr@p on facebook i can't bring myself to go on it today (feel like il need a drink to go on and check my messages etc :/ - thats what it used to be like :( )and was in bed most of the day hardly able to move and with the "oh no's"... The old "guilt shame and remorse" just as it used to be but by my standards 7 cans was not a lot to drink - its more than i wanted to drink last night (only wanted to drink 4 and my goal at the min would be 4 or less per evening and with alcohol free days but i havent quite got there yet) but even still it seems like i got super super drunk ... Also the full blown euphoria was there just like it used to be :/ Still no uncontrollable cravings in the morning just a badddd hangover and the "Whyyyyy!?????"

Yep, bad hangovers are not uncommon on Nal. There are times I'd be so hungover, I'd spend half the day in bed... :(

Yes, I had similar experiences in the beginning, especially the bad hangovers. I figured out after a few weeks that I could drink 3 units without being sick the next day and that was a real motivation to cut back. Making sure I wasn't hungry or thirsty before I started drinking really curbed my units too. The fact that you feel bad hangovers is a sign that you are responding to TSM :)

Zany,
Your endorphin's are getting blocked so they no longer help (and encourage) your body out the next day. The posting is most likely linked to state dependent learning and this is similar to playing pool or shooting darts while drinking. Extinguishing these behaviors and learning a new process is part of the magic of TSM. It takes time and patience. Good luck!
