I'm new to the forum and to Naltrexone. I'll post more about myself later. I do have a question about how best to use the Naltrexone on my days off. It's not uncommon for me to start drinking around lunchtime, then continue, at a moderate pace, through early evening. Since the effects of the alcohol have sometimes worn off between drinks, I have wondered whether I should take another dose. I've seen people mention taking the Naltrexone in 2 25mg doses, which might make sense. Today for example, I had a couple of beers with lunch between noon and 1:30 p.m. The mild effect wore off within an hour. I won't drink again until nearly 5 p.m. Will the original 50mg dose still be active?

If I remember rightly half life of Naltrexone is 4 hours. Whenever I've drunk lunchtime then evening I've taken a second dose 4 or 5 hours after the first or 1 hour before I expect to drink again, either a full 50mg, or 25mg depending upon how I feel it's going. I make the first dose a full 50mg one though.
