Sometimes I will take nal in anticipation of drinking, but then I decide not to drink. This happens rarely but occassionally. Anyone see issues with that?

Not in my case. I was prescribed Nal a long time ago by my doctor as a alcohol craving mitigtor, intnded to b used without drinkling. It did'nt work for me; stopped taking it until desperation led me to do some Google searches and i fo9und out about TSM which has been great. To answer yur question, I am very disciplined about taking Nal if I anticipate drinking and have done so many times and then don't drink. I have suffered no consequences wahtsoever. As I understand it, if you do this it is only a waste of a Nal pill.

I don't see any issues personally - it matches what I do, and things are getting better for me. The TSM suggests a two day washout from Nal before non-drinking endorphin-releasing activity, so it's debatable as to whether it might do any harm. Much better to take Nal and not drink than to drink and not take Nal, IMO.

Some people think it's a negative thing, personally ANY AF time to me is good. I've had many days where I've taken Nal thinking I might drink, after the allotted hour I've found the urge has gone and not taken any alcohol. It's not done me any harm and it didn't stop me reaching my 'cured' point within the first 6 months.

I do notice feeling a bit flat when I've taken Nal, but that's more reason not to drink and take the stuff these days (felt urggh by Boxing Day after 3 days of Nal and normal drinking).

I see no reason to worry about it. The bottom line is reduced drinking. If you're not having bad side effects, stick with the plan that works. Especially in the first 9 months. That's just my opinion.
