HI Everyone!

I hope this finds you well. I am doing better and will post on my thread tonight.

Has anyone found that they are drinking less coffee in the morning? I find myself 2 max 3 cups when it used to be more. I enjoy them dearly. Just don't feel the urge to go back and finish the pot.

Thought I would start a lighter thread as the Mrs has been on me lately and may I say how sorry I've bored the board with that hence why I've been rather silent. My Best, Jim Clark

Yes! Back in February, when I was only about 5 weeks in, I posted that I'd lost my usual enthusiasm for coffee. I still drink it but sometimes I forget, which is weird.

Another odd thing is that, pre-TSM, I ate two eggs just about every day and now I don't really care for them... not sure if that one's related.

I've found this over the last few months - I'm now drinking the first cup really slowly and forgetting or forcing myself to drink the second cup.

I've also noticed that it's pretty easy to skip dessert - oh I have cravings for something really good about once or twice a week but the general need for something sweet at night is gone. Never thought about it until l saw your coffee question :)

I started tsm in June, and have positively seen a huge decrease in my coffe consumption, down to never finishing a cup, as opposed to four plus cups in a.m. and a pot after work!

I must say I am drinking much less coffee since starting TSM.

I don't need the caffeine fix in the AM. I drink it out of habit and set it up to brew the night before. However, it gives me the chance to refocus away from Al. Coffee is the lesser of two evils. Not sure I'm ready to extinct this but will be interested to see how others do.

My answer is no, I am not drinking less coffee.

In the spirit of this lighter thread, I'll explain why. Because of my hypo-mania, I gave up coffee and caffeinated beverages years ago, so I can't go lower than zero.

My interest in coffee has gone right down. I actually feel a bit sick/ jittery if I have more than a few cups now. Very strange since I loved coffee in the morning and used to bolt espresso's during the day to keep me running. I've almost stopped the expressos and just have a cup or 2 in the morning now. I'm sure the drop in caffine has a knock on effect on the drop in drinking alcohol.

I did not experience any reduction or change in coffee consumption or appreciation.

Hey, It seems like I may be the only one who's consumption of coffee has increased. Never was a huge coffee drinker. Now I must be compensating for my loss of excessive AL. I find myself having a large cup as soon as I awaken. After I feed my little dogs, I feel as tho I need another. Then I try to eat breakfast. (never one of my strong points). At abot noon if I am on the road, I will stop at Dunkin' for an iced coffee. Then, after supper sometimes another. Doesn't seem to affect me exept for the cream. Need to cut back or illiminate it as it gets my gastric system going full speed.
