Larry here. I am curious about something. Roxy had an AF day yesterday in he first week of TSM. She said she doesn't want to drink again today, and wants to wait for later in the week. She said she is not having cravings. Should I be concerned that she is abstaining and not getting the benefit of TSM for a couple of days? Can AF days early actually be detrimental? I don't want to encourage her to drink, but I want to maintain the right posture to support her quest.

Best
Larry

That's the "honeymoon period" -- an immediate decrease in drinking. It won't last -- when she gets used to the nal she'll drink like before. True extinction takes months. She will absolutely not be set back if she has AF days. She should wait until she has a craving and then drink through it. You do not force yourself to drink when you don't want to under TSM. Extinction only works when you have a craving and then drink through it. There is no benefit to having no craving and then drinking anyway. Having AF days without cravings is a good thing even if it won't last.

Thanks Nick. I suspected as much. Great information.
