Helps with the vampiric blood lust kill-cravings alright. Some nights were like a a scene from 28 days later.

Thought it time for an update. I am now AF without any effort 6 days out of 7, and in the last 15 days I've had 1 500ml bottle of beer - which is about 2 units.

I'll admit I have a reason to be AF at the moment, but that reason is hardly life or death and I could quite easily drink if the cravings were strong. Put simply there aren't any cravings. I've taken nal twice in the last 8 days, first time I had my bottle of beer, second was because I thought I might fancy a drink later that evening. I took the nal, then couldn't be bothered to drink.

It's not like I'm not near alcohol either, and I am able to refer to drinking beer/wine whatever with friends without feeling resentment, guilt, jealousy or any of the other things I used to get when sober long term.

This is me at 10 months of TSM.

Complete and utter success!

Hi UKBlonde!

Looks like we will be adding our names to the cured list at the same time!!!

Congratulations to you! You have been a great support system for many on this board.

Much obliged and Nal on,

Thanks, I think my name is already on there!

Saturday I had half a pint of beer, 2nd half I left half of - wasn't interested. Considering I'm supposed to be knocking drinking on the head for other reasons, I'd take this as quite normal. In over 2 weeks I've had less than a litre of beer, without any craving or struggle.

Amazing.

That IS amazing. I have to say, I kind of don't think I'll ever get to that state of "disinterestedness". But that's ok, even if I dont....

Just to annoy further, opened a bottle of red last night, poured away half of the second glass. Felt woozy and that was enough for me. Will add this was with a reasonable quantity of food - which I think is significant, seem to definitely experience more success when I'm eating whilst drinking on TSM.

I do have outside motivations to not drink too, which I think is another factor but you can create your own as you take up hobbies and interests unrelated to drinking (which I'd recommend highly).

I've also met a couple of people recently who have both said they don't drink, because they simply aren't interested in the whole drinking scene.

So can be quite normal not to drink too.
