I'm about to start the program - am excited to kick it, but I also usually smoke a little pot after I start drinking (I never smoke unless I've been drinking). I'm interested in what to expect.

I wasn't very specific on my first question about Nal and pot. My question is will Nal reduce my desire for pot as well? I understand it doesn't reduce the desire for tobacco because of different receptor being blocked. Does anyone know if the receptors that are blocked on Nal are the same ones effected when smoking pot. Thanks in advance!

No it will not. Totally different receptors.

Dr. Eskapa has addressed this I think and from what I recall he said there was a drug in existence that may extinguish pot use, but it was pulled from the market because of very bad side effects.

edit: but if you only smoke when drinking and you're not addicted to pot then drinking less could possibly cause you to smoke less...a thought.
