I'm about 6 weeks into trying TSM. It makes drinking a lot less fun for me. I guess that's the point.

I've still been binge drinking, but it's very different. Before starting TSM, I had an iron stomach. I could drink a million of anything without any stomach issues, and I could hold my liquor into the wee hours of the morning.

On TSM after like 4 or 5 drinks I start getting nauseous. After like 9 or 10 drinks I get uncomfortable drunk and need to go to bed.

I guess pre-TSM the opiate high allowed me to block out all of these bad things and kept me going all night long? And now my body is responding more like a normal person to booze?

I guess this is a good thing.... but I'm still craving a good drunk and am just having a lot of trouble getting it.

Can anyone relate? Any tips? I feel long term compliance is going to be difficult if I'm craving a drunk and TSM makes it impossible.

Your last month was at less than 50% of your first month (congratulations, you're in low-risk drinking territory btw) and you're right in the band for a little payback from your lizard brain. Your receptors are going to be reaching out harder for that 'great old feeling' and lizard brain is going to twist your arm for a bit. This usually happens before it gives up another chunk of territory to your "endorphin siege" strategy. People's numbers often bump northward some in the process, so keep on practicing the consciousness and awareness techniques that have helped you in the past.

"I feel long term compliance is going to be difficult if I'm craving a drunk and TSM makes it impossible."

The old lizard is getting a bit desperate about now. What are your thoughts on the best strategy?

Interesting observation on the effects of endorphins allowing you to drink more, I think you're spot on about that.

Sometimes I miss the way alcohol used to make me feel pre-TSM. But then I remind myself that I started TSM for a reason. Even though alcohol was more pleasurable while I was actually drinking in my pre-TSM days the after effects made that experience no longer worth it. Reminding myself of this seems to be sufficient to get me back on track.

Drinking is injurious to health and people should avoid this. But there are the lots of people who are addicted and cannot live with it. We all should try to avoid such dangerous products to use for the good and healthy life. Also glad to have the top resume review online on your blog really helpful.
