Yeah Bob! Well...plus you are smart and humble on top of it - more and more similarities to the women!

Glad to have you back :D I feel much better reading this and seeing your sig change back to normal tonight.

I wouldn't quit even it I did take benzos. Possibly it will work just fine. Benzos aren't opiate blockers. :) I'd be on the lookout though for adverse reactions.

Lena, I too take benzo's and the doctor did say something to the affect that it would hamper the affect. It would be nice to get a direct answer to this question since Bob and I both take benzo's on a daily basis. I only take a very small dose but need to know since I have not seen any change whatsoever except that I now drink daily and did not prior to Sinclair Method. Can it work for those of us who use these meds daily in a small dose or not? I see that Dr. Roy did address the pain meds but has not responded to this question. If it does not work for us let us know. Why hold out hope for something that will not work for us and why take medication that does have it's side affects if this is the case. I think that you correspond with him maybe you could try to find out for the rest of us. Just hoping!

Hi LaBear,

I also take benzos - so perhaps this is why I have not seen any reduction in my alcohol intake after two months on the Sinclair Method? Maybe, just maybe. To be honest, I'm not sure that I derive any benefit from being on them now. I have made an appointment with my GP for next Monday and I shall be discussing benzo withdrawal with my doctor.

V.
