One thing that Joanna often covers is mindfulness during the drinking session. This can really help reduce the number of drinks you consume in a session. It might, for instance, be beneficial to watch your intake (or recall past sessions) to see if you finish your drink faster during certain times/events (like going out for a smoke or talking on the phone, first drink of the day, etc.) Just breaking up the smoke+drink habit really helped me slow down my drinking. That first pint now lasts about 2 hours rather than 15 or 20 minutes.
It's kind of like looking for an "exploit" and using it to "hack into" your routines/habits. You've had enough time on Nal that you can start to see if you can mine some benefits in that manner, "the beast" is getting weaker and it could be a very good time for you to strike and weaken it further!
