It`s been a week now with bac. My wife`s situation improved a lot, although it might be because of one or several factors.
She had been drinking very heavily for the last several months (more than 2 bottles of wine per day, sometimes 3). She was on Naltrexone, though not sure if she was taking correctly (i.e. 1 hour before drinking) as she was continuously drinking (daytime as well, only except nighttime, thanks to Nal) during this time, and she was taking the pill only at around 6pm everyday. She had a form of apathy which was a concern too. In fact the doctor told that might be from naltrexone so we decided to stop for a while, which we did a week ago. I just think it was a huge depression triggered and fed by drinking though.
So, exactly a week ago we had a nice talk (I call it a `love therapy`:) ), we`re spending more time together now and she told me she wasn`t aware of the situation. Now she drinks only after 6pm, and came down to a bottle and half per day. She also says she doesn`t `want` (cravings ?) to drink daytime anymore. We are at 40mg baclofen now and this as well might be contributing although that would be too good to be true I guess.
So her dropping naltrexone, our talk, and starting baclofen all came at the same moment which makes it difficult to pinpoint what helped. But let`s see; I`ll keep posting.
