hey all,
i was wondering if anyone had read this book "the vitamin cure for alcoholism" by hoffer and saul. it came out in 2009, right before hoffer died. he had a long career in what came to be known as orthomolecular medicine, including treating bill w back in the day. (the review on amazon mentions that bill w. was a big proponent of this method, but that the modern day aa org has "cleaned up" bill's official history to omit this, interesting eh?)
anyway, just curious if the book is worth buying.

To put it bluntly, "orthomolecular medicine" is all bollocks. In addition, any popular book that has "cure for alcoholism" in a title should be treated with an utmost suspicion.

i say it's a good thing all of us here got past our suspicion of such outlandish claims in book titles and gave tsm a try anyway!

KUDO"S PATH!!!!

I'm reading this now. Instead of guessing at whether it could be effective or not, I'd be willing to make myself a guinea pig. It seems like it'd be fairly hard to afford, and also difficult to figure out & follow dosing for multiple vitamins multiple times per day. We'll see by the end of the book if I still feel that way.
