A few weeks into my TSM journey, I got an e-mail from some blog or newsletter I follow that touted a subliminal message software program. It seemed serendipitous. I looked into the software and decided to give it a try. I'm trying to attack my problem (alcohol) on several fronts, and thought this might help.
What the software does is to briefly pop up a nearly transparent message on your computer screen every 5 seconds or so. Most of the time, I don't even notice them.
There are various "programs" built in to the software that you can choose from. There are ones for business success, health issues like losing weight, brain power, etc. Each program has a number of affirmations that will be randomly displayed. They recommend picking no more than 3 programs at once.
There was not a program for overcoming an alcohol addiction using TSM (go figure), but you can create your own, so that's what I did. Here are the affirmations I am using:
My desire for alcohol fades each day
I am drinking less and less
The Sinclair Method is working for me
I am wiping out my addiction to alcohol
I feel great!
I feel better and better each day
I am getting my life back
I am climbing out of a hole
Alcohol no longer rules my life
I am being cured by the naltrexone
The future is bright
Quitting drinking is easy for me
I no longer need to drink every day
I don't think I will have any way of knowing if this helps me or not, but I don't think it can hurt, and I am making good progress so far.

Full Disclosure: That is an "affiliate" link. If someone clicks it and ends up buying the software, I get a few bucks. I'm NOT posting this here to try and make money. I am just putting this info out here in case it my help someone get cured. I only signed up as an affiliate to post this message. I doubt I'll put that link anywhere else. If this bothers you and you still want to check out the software, then just type in the URL rather than click the link. But, I *could* use the help. I'm putting my 4th kid through college and I've spent TONS of money on booze over the past 35 years.
