I feel rather uncomfortable seeing this thread with its good advice and sucessful
testimonies with Champix .
All the same I did do six months off cigs and the first 3 with champix . Then it got hard
I seemed to have a minor obsesion about the E cigarette , my addictive voice persuading me it was the one that got away and how very sad to miss out on it by never smoking again .
And finally I fell for it and bought the damn gadget . I always said if I smoked again I'd get this and reckoned on even just smoking the non nicotine chambers .
So I have it and although i tried the non nicotine I'm going to smoke the nicotine ones for a while .
I do think the e cig is a great opportunity if you move away from regular cigarettes it is similar
in terms of inhalation in the throat , the heat , the gesture , and delivers nicotine and doesn't
carry the same dangers and all the chemicals as in cigs .
however for me it was just a step back as i'd kicked the habit for half a year .
I'm enjoying my e cig as one enjoys any addiction but no doubt the novelty will wear off
and I'll feel compelled to do something about what is of course a dependancy . But for now
i'll stick with the e cig as a worthy damage limitation tool and resume the struggle when the inspiration takes me . what a drag !!
Otherwise I 've just done 2 years on Tsm , and that definately is a resounding sucess that I should update on soon .
Good luck to everyone
All the best . Elf .
