It's been two years since I began the Sinclair method. For the first year I diligently kept track of my units, and went from a weekly average of about 70 down to around 25, but still felt that I had to have that drink every night at six pm. I also would occasionally hit rather dangerously high levels, but more and more infrequently.

I stuck with it, though, and over the last year have had more and more AF days.

As of Jan 1st I've not had a drink and it's been completely effortless. I really stopped for no other reason than that I wanted to lose a few pounds. In days of yore that would've been really difficult.

Anyway, I wanted to wait until I was completely sure that I felt under control, but that day is come.

It took MUCH longer than the time indicated in the book, but then again, I had a solid twenty years to wire my brain: two years, or ten percent of that time to rewire it back isn't really so very long.

Best of luck to all who are working hard to break the chains. My only advice would be to push yourself with an occasional AF day. It's easier than you think.

Oh, yeah, and patience is a virtue.

Best,

Tongo B
