Last week I said that I would wait a few weeks to call myself cured, but there is no reason to wait. I haven't had or desired a drink since 12/4. It's probably more appropriate to say that my alcoholism is "in remission", since it could come back if I don't take Nal while drinking. I'm going to continue tracking drinks for a while to make sure that there aren't any major spikes.

My cure has been quick and I feel extremely lucky. I feel kind of guilty that this worked so well for me, while others have to tough it out for a year or more. Thanks again to everyone who posted their story - I owe you a BIG one.

Congrats man, that's great! I know what you mean about feeling guilty. It's worked really spectacularly for me as well and I sometimes feel a little bad it hasn't been the roller coaster that it is for others. No one here begrudges it of you though, so be happy that you beat it!
