I see so many people wishing for that 3 month time frame and it is hard for anyone that isn't seeing results after a year, but it just goes to show people that sticking it out and moving forward is always what needs to happen!

Very helpful st vincent and other contributers here re success rates . I started tsm 13 days ago and was having jitters about the whole idea , due to reading some adverse critiques online and worrying about taking a substance for a year without perhaps any good outcome . Then i found the ' cure list ' and this particular post especially is very encouraging . I now have a more confident attitude to proceeding with the method and less apprehension . I am also prepared for a longer haul than 3 to 4 months if required . of particular interest also was the breakdown one poster ( sorry .. name eludes me ) who pointed out that half of cures came after rather than before 6 months and the further observation that its possible older people with longer alcohol histories take longer to achieve cure . this could be longer exposure and also slower rate of brain changes with age perhaps ? note also that rates of cure approach f sinclairs own figures , as noted here already . interesting !
