It used to be hard to spend a day or several days sober in between drinking sessions, but now it is easy. This is because the longer you drink on naltrexone, the more of the “addictive wiring” in the brain is removed. After over two decades of periodic binges which landed me in hospitals, jails, and treatment, I have control of my drinking.
Man, am I glad to hear Ben is doing ok. Hopefully he will come back and post an update on TSM board but just knowing he's still got AL under control is a relief. I was really rooting for him to succeed and despite his setback (drinking off NAL) he seems to be doing just fine from his comment.
