Brian, results on TSM can be very up and down and it's certainly not a linear drop in drinking. It's not unusual to chase the old high, but that in itself is an indication that TSM is working as it should. 6 weeks is still early days yet, it took me 6 months. The bulk of people seem to take 6-12 months to reach "Pharmacological Extinction" or indifference towards alcohol.
Here's where you can use habit busting techniques to help uncover the "Meh" towards alcohol that TSM slowly brings. Anything you've used it the past to dodge the drinks after drink #1 is all fair game. Certainly, don't sit at your "drinking station" with your drink in easy reach. Move it well out of reach, even a few rooms away. Keep a NA drink by your side. Don't drink when you're on the phone. Don't smoke when you drink. That's all just habit-busting stuff.
