I think you have a good shot to replicate my numbers.

When i quit prior times, it tended to be a struggle.I knew there was beer in the fridge, and it was calling. Now there is alcohol in the house and i just dont care.

FWIW, it sounds like you might be a good candidate for carrying naltrexone just in case. Then you wouldn't have to worry.

One of the great things about TSM is that there's no pressure. There's no worry that we'll "slip," because it isn't a slip.

I'm certainly not going to try to give medical advice, but if your current method is giving you problems, it might not hurt to explore other options.

Your last two week numbers match mine.You keep this up and I will never be able to
duplicate your numbers. HA HA Your doing great. And thanks for the vote of confedence
in me . much appreciated.There is a clinic called the erie st clair clinic 2 hours from me
that offers TSM so I will be looking into it soon. Did you see Melissa.s post I think she
is on to something. keep doing what I am doing just take the nal when I feel the threat
of drinking if I do that my number may look like yours. I will keep you posted I will be visiting
this clinic to see what I need to do to get the naltrexone blood work ect. Thanks again

I love your post I really think that's a good idea that will work for me gives me some freedom
and not feel like I am walking a tight rope. This plan is a keeper. Before I got on this forum
I thought I would drink for a mouth before starting the nal. I am glad I got on this forum you
people really got me thinking and change the way I will go about it.I will be visiting a clinic
In the next week or two to get the nal scriped . I will keep you posted on how things are
going with this clinic.

I'm glad that you've found a clinic and that you can get some extra input and advice from them. I was also going to suggest the just in case idea. Although it's obviously not TSM as we know it, I think that as you're in such a unique position a unique way of taking it may be the answer.

My thinking is this: For me, that first dose of Nal gave me an instant "that was a nice couple of drinks but I really don't want anymore" feeling and I stopped after a couple of drinks. You only get cravings at parties, so if you only take it then maybe you'll get that "nice, but no more" feeling with each dose. That avoids you having to go back to more frequent drinking to work on extinction. I've no idea if it can work like that, but IMHO it's a less risky strategy than going back to drinking to do the full TSM.

You asked about Baclofen, but I can't really give you any info as I've only read bits and pieces about it here. I think there is a website called My Way Out which will have details, but it sounds like you've got a plan now that you're happy with so you won't be needeing it. Good luck, and I really hope it all works out well for you.

I believe it is the right game plan because knowing I can have a drink if I needed to
with out falling face first.I only maybe come across five or six parties a year these day,s.
and look at sideffect, he has had success drinking two or three drinks and going two weeks
AF. I believe the nal really works well at reducing cravings as well as blocking the effect of
the alcohol. Extinction may happen but not for many years at my rate of drinking.
But your write its never really been done so this will be interesting. I will post ever time I
drink and let you know if it is working or not. It will be good info for others wanting to try
it that way.

Yes I was thinking of doing a dry run of nal three day.s of 25mg and four day,s of 50mg
just to see how I react to nal.
That would be funny go to party have one beer and start puking every where people thinking
you cant handle your alcohol ( if they only knew )
