My hunch is you came in contact with something that triggered the reaction rather than the Nal.

I've noticed that it's altered the taste and/or caused me to lose the desire to drink my (past) favorite drinks as well. I was a vodka & club soda guy or Captain Morgan drinker and now I can't even stand to drink either. I mean, it's painful to swallow sometimes. I was never really into drinking beer, just hard liquor, but now when I go out it's almost always beer because it's the only thing I can tolerate.

I'm not complaining... the point of all of this was to slow down the drinking. Be careful what you wish for, eh?

I drink wine mostly and I have noticed that the taste has changed, or maybe my salivary anticipation has changed. I think that is also a behavioural aspect of the drinking. Our brain expects the buzz, which would normally create a pathway to the taste sensors that says - 'yup! good stuff. enjoy!'. But when we drink on Nal, the brain is not getting that buzz so the pathways to the taste buds aren't stimulated or soothed or whatever like they were before. Therefore their feedback to the brain is all about the taste without the effect clouding the message. In other words, maybe it always tasted like this but the buzz was changing my appreciation of it.
