Please post any specific questions you have for Dr. Eskapa here. Keep in mind Dr. Eskapa is busy and only drops by occassionally. That and the fact that he's many time zones away will almost guarantee you'll have to wait for an answer - please be patient - he is being very generous by dropping by as often as he does.

If you have a complex issue, please provide any background information in a paragraph (or whatever it takes) and place your question(s) at the end. If you have multiple questions, please number them and list them separately - this will make it easier for Dr. Eskapa to ensure he's covered your questions.

Finally, PLEASE resist the temptation to answer others' questions in this area of the forum. Sometimes someone needs to get it straight from the horse's mouth.

hi there Dr. Eskapa, my name is john, i am from melbourne, australia. i am brand new to this programme, but i must admit that this programme has given me such hope that i can overcome my alcohol addiction. my question is this. when taking naltrexone, the advice is to avoid activities that give you pleasure on days you are taking naltrexone. i am a regularly meditate, as this gives me stress relief at work. so is this activity one i should avoid on naltrexone days? i'd be very grateful for your feedback on this. anyway all of the best in your efforts to have this programme given greater recognition. regards john.

Let me help Dr. Eskapa here.
John, for the most part, just go about you daily routine for the first few months of the Sinclair Method. It can only be a plus. You have done X while before on Naltrexone and than X-Y since using Naltrexone. You are of very little risk of unlearning something beneficial that outweighs the benefit of addiction reduction.

Also, the activities we are concerned about are not simply pleasuable affairs. What we are concerned about are those that release endorphins. Meditation, as calming as it may be, is probably not a major concern.

Continue TSM as published and meditate as before. You will do just fine.
