I have an appointment for my boyfriend to see a doctor familiar with the Sinclair Method in a couple days...but as I type this is is so drunk and out of control that I am thinking maybe he needs to just be hospitalized asap. Is there a point where you are just too far gone for TSM and you just need to go to the good old fashioned ER? I just don't want him to hurt himself any more than he already has. Thanks so much.

i was in aa before i switched to nal and it took me a month to find a doctor so for a month i was back to a fifth a night but, within two weeks of starting my gf said she saw noticeable lowering in my drinking, it still took about 3 months for me to get where i am now (6 beers in one sitting max)

the great thing about tsm is that you slowly lower your own level of drinking so hospitalization and meds arent neccesary to prevent withdrawl symptoms (like siezures)
