Dear Dr. Eskapa, I am 61 and have been addicted to alcohol for many years; decades in fact. My drug of choice is light beer, but as they say "a drink is a drink". I tried TSM about 18 months ago and initially had good results. Then over time my drinking increased to previous levels and I just gave up. I did have some side effects from the NAL, mostly gastro related. I would like to give TSM another try; perhaps I just did not give it enough time. Have you witnessed success the second time around? Second, is there anything more effective with less side effects than NAL? My MD is a personal friend with a family history of alcohol addiction so he will support me. Thanks very much, Retread
