Hi. I've taken Naltrexone and drank 2 times now and I feel that it works! I'm so glad for this method. However, both times, after the alcohol has worn off, I've experienced shakiness for several hours. I am a binge drinker and rarely ever had the shakes after drinking. I'm wondering if this could be a side-effect of the medication?

Note: I am also tapering off benzos, but the shaking seemed to go away once the naltrexone was out of my system. Last night, I drank on naltrexone again (4 drinks) and shaking again today.

Keek was reporting shakes also, although morning-after in her case (IIRC). It could just be the nal-over. Lots of people have worse hangovers on nal, and shakes are a classic part of a terrible hangover.

I didn't find any info on shakes/trembling as a direct side effect of nal.

Thanks. I'm wondering if it might have anything to do with the benzos in combination with the nal? And yeah, I had a slight hangover before going to bed after only 4 beers last night. So weird. But better than the alternative. Thank you.
