Hello everyone. Let me introduce myself. I'm 47, male, live just outside of Houston, work as an engineer, married 23 years, 2 kids, 1 dog, 1 McMansion, 2 hamsters, 1 boat, 2 sets of golf clubs, etc.... Not your stereotypical alcoholic, I guess. Had two friends who were on Sinclair Method starting about two years ago with success. I started not too long ago and have had success, too. What can I say? I succeed at things!

I started drinking at the end of high school, went to UT where fraternities are huge and drank like crazy in college. Over the years, I drank either heavily or not so heavily 7 days a week (love martinis). My wife drinks, too, not quite as bad as me. I got my Nal from my friend who had a bunch left, so I haven't actually bought any yet. Currently down to about 3 days a week and have a strict personal rule not to drink to relieve stress -- I find other ways. My kids have noticed the difference, my wife not so much (which makes me think, hmmm).
I read "The Cure for Alcoholism" and "Babylon Confidential" and anything else I could get my hands on before starting. My wife has a medical background and she read them, too, although she didn't feel like she should start Nal herself. My current stash of Nal should last me through the summer.
