The Doctor changed my antidepressant. Brintellix. Its new. I've been on ever antidepressant for years and nothing is working.

I can't drink with it, and I'm so desperate to feel better, that I won't. So I have 3 af days, woot.

Still just very sad about my daughter. I don't know if that will ever get better, but who knows.

My mother is very cold. She refuses to comfort me in any way. She actually called me an Asshole on my daughters birthday, because I wouldn't do something she want me to do for her. I told her, it was not a good day and please just leave me alone, But oh no. She had to keep calling and demanding I do that for her. And as she hung up, she said, "you asshole". That hurt. But I keep going to a dry well for water. And there isn't any in it.

But that pretty well pushed me on over the edge into deeper depression. I'll be ok. I have no other choice do I?

Thank you all for your concern.

Tamara,

I am so happy that you are feeling well, and having 3 af days are wonderful. I do hope that this new antidepressant works for you. Please keep posting, for even though you are no longer drinking, we still care.

Jaba

SO happy to hear that you are on a new AD - I really hope that it works for you. And it is your mother's loss that she is the way she is - try not to let it get to you - her loss, not having a daughter !! What happens if you drink on the new AD ?

Hugs, Maggie x

Tamara, I am glad that you checked in and have three alcohol free days. That is great! My fingers are crossed that this is the AD that works for you.

You will always be sad about the loss of your daughter, but as time goes on it will be less painful and you will be able to focus more on the good times you shared with her. Do you and your husband talk about it? My friend whose daughter was killed in an accident has a difficult time because her husband doesn't like to talk about her.

And...it sounds like your mother is the asshole.
