I got the immense tiredness from nal for about the first two months. Then it went away. As for craving sweets - that's probably because you are consuming less alcohol. I NEVER ate sweet things, not even fruit, before starting TSM. But I drank a ridiculously large quantity of bourbon, which is essentially sugar. Now that I am drinking a lot less I find myself craving vats of Nutella and chocolate covered pretzels! It is so strange for me too!

It's all part of the process. TSM is an un-learning. You are so early yet; answer your triggers and they will be shot down one by one.

I was doing so well this week until tonight. An email from a client completely tripped my triggers and I ended up at about 3x where I would have been if I had not read that email.

Nal is definitely slowing my consumption but I still need to learn how to deal with stress without turning to the bottle.

Ahhh, work. :geek: If it wasn't for work and those pesky clients, I don't think I would ever drink at all.

It's early, but I'm sensing the end of the cravings come first, but the real battle is dealing with triggers and habits...

EoB, you are at the point of TSM (if I remember correctly...) where it really is very common for your units to go back up, even to pre-TSM levels. However, you'll probably find that the clarity you experience while drinking is new and doesn't go away as easily. Focus also on subjective changes, like how much you crave alcohol or how easy it is to stop drinking after a certain point. Keep on keeping on, nal will most likely work for you!!

Hi EoB,

It's tough when all you see are the units... but it's the behavioural changes that stand out for me.

Can you answer yes to any of the following questions?
    I have left unfinished drinks

    I no longer have Blackouts

My Stupid / embarrassing behaviour is less of a problem

I have more energy for friends / family

I argue less when I'm drunk.

It's not an exhaustive list - but these are some of the key behavioural changes that can help motivate us!
